I have been using this chocolate cake recipe since it was featured as O. F. Cocoa Cake on the back of the Hersheys Cocoa can, about 30 years ago. It is my families absolute favorite chocolate cake. It always turns out perfectly. These days I bake it as cupcakes because they're easy to freeze and serve for dessert whether it's just the two of us or for unexpected guests.
