KISSES Coconut Macaroon Blossoms

  • 1/3 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 package (3 oz.) cream cheese
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 2 teaspoons almond extract
  • 2 teaspoons orange juice
  • 1-1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 5 cups MOUNDS Sweetened Coconut Flakes
  • 48 HERSHEY'S KISSES Brand Milk Chocolates


  • 1. Beat butter, cream cheese and sugar in large bowl until well blended. Add egg yolk, almond extract and orange juice; beat well. Stir together flour, baking powder and salt; gradually add to butter mixture, beating until well blended. Stir in 3 cups coconut.
  • 2. Cover; refrigerate 1 hour or until firm enough to handle. Remove wrappers from chocolates. Heat oven to 350°F. Shape dough into 1-inch balls; roll balls in remaining 2 cups coconut. Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
  • 3. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove from oven; immediately press chocolate into center of each cookie. Cool 1 minute; carefully remove from cookie sheet to wire rack. Cool completely. Makes about 48 cookies.

    Delicious recipe, I love macaroons and this was one of the best recipes I've tried. The addition of the Hershey kiss made it even better.

    My husband asked me to make these after seeing the recipe on the Hershey Kisses bag. They are a new favorite of the whole family!! We love the almond flavor and how chewy they are. You have to be very careful not to overbake them. I had no problem getting 4 dozen out of the recipe. These are definitely making it into my holiday recipe collection!!!
    My daughter has a peanut allergy, so the peanut Kisses cookies are out of the question! She really wanted to eat Kisses cookies like the other children, so we tried the recipe. It turned out to be a family favorite!!! We all love it!
    I have made this recipe from Hershey's for more than 15 years. I make it at different times of the year, but always at Christmas. The only problem with these cookies are that my family absolutely loves them, too much. I always make a couple of batches, with the intentions of giving some away to friends and our neighbors, but it is really difficult hiding them from my family.
    Very Good! These are coconut cookies to the extreme. 5 cups - its crazy! But with the cream cheese and coconut, these are an amazing combination. They are to die for if you have them right out of the oven with the Hershey kiss slightly melted. <3 (I also only got 3 dozen cookies)
    I'd give this a 4.5 stars. I have always been a fan of the peanutbutter bloosom and when I saw this cookie, it reminded me of an almond joy and after baking them, they taste like an almond joy. I used kisses with almonds for more almond flavor. The only reason I didn't give it a full 5 stars is that I only got 3 dozen cookies instead of 4 and they take a longer time to cool since you place the kiss into a warm cookie.
