HERSHEY'S Perfect White Chip Chocolate Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) butter or margarine
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup HERSHEY'S Cocoa
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups (12-oz. pkg.) HERSHEY'S Premier White Chips

Directions

  • 1. Heat oven to 350°F.
  • 2. Beat butter and sugar in large bowl until creamy. Add eggs and vanilla; beat until light and fluffy. Stir together flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt; gradually beat into butter mixture. Stir in white chips. Drop by rounded teaspoons onto ungreased cookie sheet.
  • 3. Bake 8 to 9 minutes. (Do not over bake; cookies will be soft. They will puff while baking; flatten upon cooling.) Cool slightly; remove from cookie sheet to wire rack. Cool completely. Makes about 54 cookies.

    I have made these cookies for many years and they are a family favorite.
    This is a perfect cookie. It has become one of our all time favorites. I substitute shortening (name brand) instead of butter for high altitude. These cookies turn out so well, my co workers said I should open a bakery. I mix Hershey's Special Dark and the Premier white chips and they are even More awesome, if that is possible.
    These are a delicious take on chocolate chip cookies...a chocolate lover's dream come true!! Yummy!
    This was a disappointed recipe. After they were left to cool, they came out flat and wrinkly. They looked inedible. Wife said that we just wasted ingredients and time making them for Christmas presents. But the she said that they tasted good though.
    My family loved them. You can also substitute with 2 C whole wheat pastry flour and they bake up beautifully. I'll definitely make these for our next bake sale.
    This recipe was such a hit when I made it last Christmas. My brother-in-law has requested these for 2 family gatherings since. Very easy, and delicious!
