Creamy Double Decker Fudge Recipe


  • 1 cup REESE'S Peanut Butter Chips
  • 1 can (14 oz.) sweetened condensed milk (not evaporated milk)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup HERSHEY'S SPECIAL DARK Chocolate Chips or HERSHEY'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips


  • 1. Line 8-inch square pan with foil.
  • 2. Place peanut butter chips and 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk in small microwave-safe bowl. Microwave at MEDIUM (50%) 1 to 1-1/2 minutes, stirring after 1 minute, until chips are melted and mixture is smooth when stirred. Stir in 1/2 teaspoon vanilla; spread evenly in prepared pan.
  • 3. Place remaining sweetened condensed milk and chocolate chips in another small microwave-safe bowl; repeat above microwave procedure. Stir in remaining 1/2 teaspoon vanilla; spread evenly over peanut butter layer.
  • 4. Cover; refrigerate until firm. Remove from pan; place on cutting board. Peel off foil. Cut into squares. Store tightly covered in refrigerator. About 64 pieces or 1-1/2 pounds.
  • NOTE: For best results, do not double this recipe.

    Taste is very good. But when you make it remember to GREASE to foil liner of the 8x8 dish. The instructions do not say that the foil needs greasing so I didn't do it. There was no successful way to get that candy off the foil until I flipped it all ~ugh~ and then slowly and carefully peeled the foil from the candy. This is a great recipe because it's so fast and easy to make a good candy so I will make this again and remember to grease the foil. (Thank goodness I did use the foil instead of the bare dish!!)

    I found this recipe back 15 years ago and to this day I always make sure to keep a couple copies around just in case. This is the best and sweetest candy ever!

    amazing! except that the tinfoil got stuck to the bottom of it, possibly use parchment paper instead?
    Bravo! This could NOT have gone over better for me. If anything the recipe is TOO easy...I kept feeling like I left something out. Simply delicious. Thank you so much. P.S: Note... Substituting white chocolate is rough. It did not set as well as the dark. I bet there is a better method when using white chocolate. However, I am still new to baking...But I did try it. It was GOOD! Just...messy!
    I have been using this recipe for about 9 years. It tastes yummy and because it is so easy, it makes a GREAt last minute dessert. I have found that it also makes a great gift when wrapped in a decorative tin.
    This is an excellent recipe that taste extravagant. Great recipe to show off. Chocolate and peanut butter wonderful.
