Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup (1-1/2 sticks) butter or margarine
  • 1 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1-3/4 cups (9.5-oz. pkg.) HERSHEY'S BAKING MELTS Milk Chocolate or (10-oz. pkg.) HERSHEY'S BAKING MELTS Semi-Sweet Chocolate
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Directions

  • 1. Heat oven to 325°F. Grease 13x9x2-inch pan.
  • 2. Beat butter, brown sugar and granulated sugar until well blended. Add eggs, milk and vanilla; beat well. Stir together flour, baking soda and salt; blend into butter mixture. Stir in chocolate pieces and nuts, if desired. Spread in prepared pan.
  • 3. Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until dark golden brown. Cool completely in pan on wire rack. Cut into bars. Makes about 24 bars.
