  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1-1/3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup HERSHEY'S SPECIAL DARK Chocolate Chips or HERSHEY'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
  • Additional HERSHEY'S SPECIAL DARK Chocolate Chips or HERSHEY'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips

  • 1. Heat oven to 350°F. Grease 13x9x2-inch baking pan or two 8-inch square baking pans.
  • 2. Stir together cocoa and baking soda in large bowl; stir in 1/3 cup butter. Add boiling water; stir until mixture thickens. Stir in sugar, eggs and remaining 1/3 cup butter; stir until smooth. Add flour, vanilla and salt; blend completely. Stir in chocolate chips. Pour into prepared pan.

This is the most used brownie recipe I use because they are so gooey and delicious and you get a huge pan of them. One of my kids favorite sweets.
Excellent brownie. My coworkers rave when I bake this!
Didn't get the chance to make the frosting for it, but the brownies were delicious and soft!
i made these for our family gathering and for craft shows these brownies taste so good and a big hit
I made these for christmas and OMG my family had a fit!!!! I used milk chocolate chips and served them warm with vanilla ice cream. HUGE HIT!!!!
Excellent !! Thought it was going to be real sweet, but it wasn't. I didn't put the extra chocolate chips on top. Decorated it instead with white candy snowflakes for Christmas dessert. Will definitely keep and re-make this recipe.
Awesome!! Even without the icing! I am not usually a brownie eater but these are delicious! My family loves them.
These are the best Brownies I have ever had.....just LOVE them !!!!
These are the best brownies I have ever made in my entire life!!!
Woefully misnamed! I would call these Triple Chocolate Torture brownies! They are fabulous! I have also made them with a cup of sweetened coconut flakes which makes them even chewier-yum! I just made a batch and came on here to refresh my memory on the frosting! :)
I've had this recipe since 1987. It was in the Sunday paper in Atlanta. I recently lost the recipe, and was so excited to find it on this site. I highly recommend this recipe!!
The family reviewed these as the best brownies ever. I added some leftover caramel chips to it and they were amazing.
It doesen't take more than 20 minutes to run out of brownies
I made this recipe for the first time last night. I took half the pan to work today & they were gone before lunch time. Several people asked for the recipe. They were very easy to make. These are some of the chocolatiest brownies I have ever made. I like them way better than the Nestle chocolate chocolate chip brownies. Definetly fudgeier.
