These are delicious! Very easy to make. I omitted the nuts (I am allergic)
I had some butterscotch chips left over from Christmas and I found this recipe to use them up. I cut back on the sugar a little and I did add some chopped walnuts. They were ok, not too sweet. I think that if I was going to make brownies, chocolate would be better. Although I must say that everyone else loved them!
Great, easy recipe! It's got a nice vanilla-y flavor. I added chopped hazelnuts making for an interesting taste.
I made these today and they were delicious, the only thing that I did different was to put one cup of butterscotch in the mix instead of 1 3/4. the blondies were still rich and delicious and sweet enough for my family.
I used melted butter because I didn't want them to be too cakey. They were great. Next time I added a twist & put a cream cheese/egg/sugar mixture on top & sprinkled with toasted almonds & Heath Bar crunch. WOW!!! I don't use the butterscotch chips because they're too sweet for me.
These bars are pretty good if you like butterscotch just try not to over-cook them.
