  • 51 ROLO Chewy Caramels in Milk Chocolate , divided
  • 1 package devil's food cake mix (about 18 oz.)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup pecans finely chopped
  • 3/4 cup HERSHEY'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
  • 1/2 teaspoon shortening (do not use butter, margarine, spread or oil)
  • 1 tablespoon heavy cream

Directions

  • 1. Heat oven to 350°F. Line cookie sheets with parchment paper or grease lightly. Remove wrappers from caramel candies; set aside 15 candies for drizzle.
  • 2. Combine cake mix, eggs and oil in large mixing bowl, beating until well blended. Dough will be slightly sticky. (If necessary, refrigerate dough until firm enough to handle.) Divide dough into 36 equal (about 1-inch) balls. Flatten ball slightly and shape around candy piece, covering completely. Roll to make ball and roll ball in chopped pecans. Place on prepared cookie sheets.
  • 3. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until just set. Do not over bake. Cool 1 minute; transfer to wire rack. Cool completely.
  • 4. Place chocolate chips and shortening in small microwave-safe bowl. Microwave at MEDIUM (50%) 30 seconds; stir. If necessary, microwave at MEDIUM an additional 10 seconds at a time, stirring after each heating, until chips are melted and mixture is smooth when stirred. Drizzle over cookies.
  • 5. Place reserved 15 caramel candies and heavy cream in small microwave-safe bowl. Microwave at MEDIUM (50%) 30 seconds; stir. If necessary, microwave at MEDIUM an additional 10 seconds at a time, stirring after each heating, until candies are melted and mixture is smooth when stirred. Drizzle over cookies.
