  • 14 REESE'S Snack Size Peanut Butter Cups (10.5-oz. pkg.) , divided
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine (1/2 stick)
  • 40 (10-oz. pkg.) marshmallows or 4 cups miniature marshmallows
  • 5 cups crisp rice cereal

Directions

  • 1. Butter 9-inch square pan or 11x7x2-inch pan . Remove wrappers from peanut butter cups. Cut each of 4 peanut butter cups into 8 equal wedges; set aside. Cut remaining peanut butter cups into pieces (at least 8 pieces per cup); set aside.
  • 2. Place butter in large microwave-safe bowl. Microwave at HIGH (100%) 45 seconds or until melted. Add marshmallows; stir to coat with butter. Microwave at HIGH 45 seconds; stir. If necessary, microwave at HIGH an additional 15 seconds at a time, stirring after each heating, until marshmallows are melted when stirred.
  • 3. Immediately add cereal, stirring until well coated. Fold in peanut butter cup pieces (still reserving the wedges cut from the original 4 cups). Press mixture evenly in prepared pan. Sprinkle peanut butter cup wedges on surface, pressing in lightly. Cool completely. Cut into bars. Makes 16 to 20 bars.
