  • 3/4 cup butter or margarine (1-1/2 sticks)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar plus 1/3 cup , divided
  • 1/2 cup HERSHEY'S Cocoa
  • 1/4 cup whipping cream
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 egg yolks
  • Powdered sugar
  • (hdr) (hdr) MIDNIGHT FILLING (recipe follows)

Directions

  • 1. Heat oven to 400°F. Grease six mini fluted tube pans or 6-ounce cups. Dust the insides with cocoa. Place dishes in a 13x9x2-inch baking pan or a jelly-roll pan.
  • 2. Melt butter in medium saucepan. Remove from heat. Whisk in cocoa, 1/2 cup granulated sugar, whipping cream, vanilla and salt. Whisk in flour just until combined. Set aside.
  • 3. Beat eggs, egg yolks and remaining 1/3 cup granulated sugar in large bowl on high speed of mixer about 5 minutes or until slightly thickened and lemon-colored. Beat in chocolate mixture on medium speed. Evenly divide batter into prepared cups.
  • 4. Bake 18 to 20 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center of cakes comes out dry. Cool 10 minutes; remove from pan. Meanwhile, make MIDNIGHT FILLING.
  • 5. Place each cake on small plate. Dust with powdered sugar and fill center of fluted cakes with warm filling. Garnish as desired. 6 cakes.
  • MIDNIGHT FILLING:
  • 1 CADBURY ROYAL DARK Chocolate Bar (3.5 oz.), unwrapped and broken into pieces
  • 3 tablespoons heavy cream
  • Place chocolate bar pieces and heavy cream in medium microwave-safe bowl. Microwave at MEDIUM (50%) 1 minute; stir. If necessary, microwave at MEDIUM an additional 15 seconds at a time, stirring after each heating, until chocolate is melted and mixture is smooth when stirred. Cool slightly. About 1/2 cup filling.
