KISSES Milk Chocolate Brownies

HERSHEY'S Cocoa isn't the only taste of chocolate in this easy brownie recipe. They're filled in the middle with melty HERSHEY'S KISSES Milk Chocolates, for a gooey, sweet, crowd-pleasing dessert. Add extra chocolate pieces on top for triple the chocolate.

  • 42 HERSHEY'S KISSES Brand Milk Chocolates
  • 2/3 cup shortening
  • 1-1/4 cups packed light brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs
  • 1-1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup HERSHEY'S Cocoa
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda

Directions

  • 1. Heat oven to 350°F. Grease 8- or 9-inch square pan. Remove wrappers from chocolates; set aside.
  • 2. Beat shortening, brown sugar, water and vanilla in large bowl until well blended. Add eggs; beat well.
  • 3. Stir together flour, cocoa, salt and baking soda. Gradually add to sugar mixture, beating just until blended. Stir in chocolates. Spread batter in prepared pan.
  • 4. Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until brownies start to pull from edge of pan. Remove from oven to wire rack. Cool completely. Cut into bars. Makes 16 brownies.
