  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine (1 stick) , softened
  • 1 bag HERSHEY'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips OR 1 bag (10-oz. pkg.) REESE'S Peanut Butter Chips (12-oz. pkg.)
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar packed
  • 1/3 cup HERSHEY'S Cocoa
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Directions

  • 1. Heat oven to 350°F.
  • 2. Beat butter, granulated sugar and brown sugar in large bowl until well blended. Add eggs and vanilla; beat well.
  • 3. Stir together flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt; gradually add to butter mixture, beating until well blended. Stir in chips. Drop by rounded teaspoons onto ungreased cookie sheet.
  • 4. Bake 9 to 11 minutes or until set. Cool slightly; remove from cookie sheet to wire rack. Cool completely. Makes about 48 cookies.
