We all love our chocolate chip cookies and that will never change. But our love for chocolate chip cookies goes far beyond the batter. And let’s not forget about the variety of chips! Chocolate chips, peanut butter chips, white creme chips, butterscotch chips, sea salt caramel chips and cinnamon chips—let’s take a look at all the creative ways we put these to delicious use.
Mini chips are both a delicious and adorable way to add to flare and texture to your cakes and cupcakes. Sprinkle them on, decorate the sides and edges, cover every inch, or spell out your sweet message. Plus using a mix of chips is an excellent way to add some variety.
A chocolate ganache is great for covering cakes and making chocolate shells. And the easiest way to make a decadent ganache is to start with some chocolate chips—make in a double boiler so it doesn’t burn, add your chips and stir until melted. Then add a touch of your heavy cream, butter, or coconut oil.
