Sea Salt Caramel Chip Blossom Cookies

Sweet and a little salty, these Sea Salt Caramel Chip Blossom Cookies are a twist on the traditional blossom cookie that is perfect for holiday baking, or just for filling the cookie jar!

I wish every month could be December.

I think we all fell in love with December as children. Everything leading up to Christmas just always seemed magical. The snow on the ground, the catalogs that would come in the mail, filled to the brim with every toy imaginable, and knowing that you got a whole two weeks off of school – what’s not to love, right?

Now, as an adult, I find myself holding on to every moment even more. There is still so much magic, although it is a little different than that magic experienced as a child. Now, much of that magic comes from seeing things through my children’s eyes. I love singing Christmas carols with them, going to visit Santa Claus, and seeing their eyes light up as we drive through neighborhoods decked out in colorful lights. Magic. Pure magic.

One of my favorite things to do, though, is all of the holiday baking. Sometimes I swear I could bake something every day during the month of December and still not make it through my list of holiday treats that I want to make. There is simply not enough time. Which is why I wish every month could be December.

My mom would make Christmas candy every December when we were growing up. I loved her candy, and still get excited when she makes it. The thing I love to make the most with my kids right now are cookies. Not only do they love to eat the cookies, they are something fun that we can all make together. They can help measure and mix, and then roll the dough into balls. They can help decorate and plate, and then they are definitely good at helping to eat the cookies. Because we do so much baking in December, we love to share what we have been making and the holiday season is the perfect time to share.

This holiday season, these Sea Salt Caramel Chip Blossom Cookies have been on repeat. First of all, have you seen these new HERSHEY’S Kitchens Sea Salt Caramel Chips? They are simply amazing. Especially since I love the little bit of salt with my sweet – these are right up my alley. They pair so perfectly with cookies (and I will be keeping them on hand long after the holiday season has passed!!)

For these Sea Salt Caramel Chip Blossom Cookies, I started with a perfectly soft cookie dough and added the Sea Salt Caramel Chips. And while those cookies are delicious on their own, I just had to add HERSHEY’S KISSES Milk Chocolates to the top. Everything is better with a HERSHEY’S KISSES chocolate on top, right? These cookies are the perfect cookies for sharing, as well. In fact, the first time I made these, we shared them with a neighbor and she went crazy for them. You can’t beat this combination!

I can’t think of a better way to spend my December than with my kids, in the kitchen, baking up these Sea Salt Caramel Chip Blossom Cookies to share and enjoy!

  5. Allow the cookies to cool for at least 5 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack to cool completely.
