Ingredients

1 cupbutter or margarine (250 mL)
2 cupsgranulated sugar (500 mL)
1/2 cupHERSHEY'S Cocoa (125 mL)
4 eggs, beaten (4)
2/3 cupall-purpose flour (150 mL)
1/2 tspsalt (2 mL)
1/4 tspbaking soda (1 mL)
2 tspvanilla (10 mL)
2 cupsCHIPITS Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips (350 g)
1/2 cupmacadamia nuts, coarsely chopped (125 mL)

Directions

    1. Heat oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease 13 x 9-inch (33 x 23 cm) baking pan.

    2. Melt butter in medium saucepan over low heat. Add sugar and cocoa; stir to blend. Remove from heat. Stir in eggs.

    3. In medium bowl, mix together flour, salt and baking soda; stir into chocolate mixture. Stir in vanilla, chocolate chips and nuts. Spread in prepared pan.

    4. Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until brownies begin to pull away from sides of pan and begin to crack slightly; do not underbake. Cool completely in pan on wire rack. Cut into bars.

    Makes about 24 brownies.
