1. Combine chocolate chips and whipping cream in a medium microwave-safe bowl. Microwave at MEDIUM (50%) for 1 minute; stir. If necessary, microwave for an additional 15 seconds at a time, stirring after each interval, until chips are melted and mixture is smooth. Stir in vanilla. Serve warm over ice cream or other desserts.
Makes about 2 cups (500 mL) sauce.
