Holiday Frosted Sugar Cookie Blossoms

Ingredients

36 HERSHEY’S KISSES Brand Sugar Cookie Candies
1 pkgSugar Cookie mix. Flour, butter and egg called for on Sugar Cookie mix package for cut-out cookies (496 g)
2/3 cupGreen or red decorating sugar for rolling (150 mL)

Directions

    1. Heat oven to 375°F (190°C). Remove wrappers from candies; set aside.

    2. Mix cookie dough following package directions for cut-out cookies. Shape dough into 1-1/4” (3 cm) balls. Roll in green or red decorating sugar. Place balls about 2” (5 cm) apart on ungreased cookie sheet.

    3. Bake 8-10 minutes or until cookie edges are set (do not overbake). Remove from oven; cool 2 minutes. Press candy piece into center of each cookie. Transfer from cookie sheet to wire rack. Cool completely. Makes about 36 cookies.
