A.

No. Our use of farm fresh milk does not change the shelf life of HERSHEY'S Milk Chocolate.

Q.

What is soy lecithin and why do you use it?

A.

Lecithin is a naturally occurring oil substance found in plants like soybeans, sunflowers and animal products, like eggs. When added to our milk chocolate, soy lecithin helps the milk chocolate spread evenly in the chocolate mould and allows the trapped air on the mould and in the milk chocolate to escape during the moulding process. It helps make the HERSHEY’S Bars look its best. Soy lecithin is in almost every milk and dark chocolate in the US and around the world.

Q.

Am I paying more for Hershey products made with Simple Ingredients?

A.

No. As of today, although Simple Ingredients are more expensive, we’ve transitioned to simple ingredients without increasing the price of these products.

Q.

Is HERSHEY’S Milk Chocolate made in China or Mexico?

A.

As Hershey’s chocolate has become more popular around the world; we have built business units in key regions, including Latin America and China. We make our products in these regions as we serve the growing demand for our chocolate. Check out our full list of locations and details on each here.
