Things You'll Need

  • Glass mason jars, any size
  • Fall HERSHEY’S KISSES Brand Chocolates
  • Fall REESE’S Peanut Butter Cup Miniatures
  • Glue stick
  • Scissors
  • Permanent black marker
  • Utility knife
  • 1 sheet cardstock

    For spider jar:
  • 26 medium wiggly eyes
  • 24 small wiggly eyes
  • 16 purple chenille stems
  • Hot glue gun
  • Silver marker

How to Make

  • Clean and dry mason jars.

  • Carefully remove foil wrappers from a few of the candies.

  • Straighten wrappers and roll flat with sides of glue stick.

  • Make templates by copying jar pattern to cardstock and cut out.

  • Determine the placement and number of designs needed for your jar.

  • Trace template onto foil with the permanent marker and cut out. Repeat until you have enough for each jar.

  • Use glue stick to apply designs to jars.

  • Glue foil wrappers to cover a complete area (knob, base or stripe), layering and rubbing to blend edges together and flatten to the glass. Carefully cut and remove any excess foil with utility knife.

  • Fill jars with Fall HERSHEY’S KISSES Brand Chocolates and Fall REESE’S Peanut Butter Cup Miniatures.

  • Spider jar only:

  • Use silver marker to draw eight legs (upside-down “V”s) on each small spider.

  • Twist two chenille stems together to create large spider legs for the top of the jar. Bend in half, and bend up two inches from both ends. Slip one end next to knob and glue in place, repeat with remaining seven legs.

  • Glue two medium wiggly eyes to large top spider.

  • Glue two small wiggly eyes to each small spider.
