Princess Wand: To make the wand, paint the dowel and star pink. When the paint dries, fold three 15-inch lengths of the thin silver and pink ribbons in half, then place the fold at the tip of the dowel and secure it with a rubber band. Secure the dowel to the back of star using the hot glue gun. Using the glue gun, attach the ribbons, craft gemstones, sequins, and various chocolates and candies from HERSHEY'S to the star.

Princess Skirt: To make the skirt: Cut the 2" wide pink ribbon into two pieces: 30-inch length for the waistband and a 42-inch length for the bow. Next, fold each piece of tulle in half lengthwise and stack each the same way, with the folded edges together at the top. Using a needle and a 40-inch-long piece of doubled thread, hand-stitch across the top of the skirt through all the layers. Then hold the thread end in one hand and gather the fabric together with the other until the top of the skirt fits onto the 30-inch ribbon (waistband). Attach the 30-inch ribbon to the skirt using the hot glue gun. Glue silver rickrack trim to the hem. To fit the skirt, wrap the waistband around your child's waist, mark where the ends overlap, and secure with a self-adhesive Velcro fastener. Using the glue gun, attach craft gemstones, sequins, and various candies and chocolates from HERSHEY'S to the waistband and top layer of skirt. Tie a bow in the center of the 42-inch ribbon and using the glue gun, continue to attach craft gemstones, sequins, and various candies and chocolates from HERSHEY'S. Stitch the bow to the back of the skirt waistband.

Princess Tiara: For the base of the tiara, twist the ends of two stems together to make one 23" stem that will fit around the princess' head. Slide 20 pink and 5 purple beads (6 pink, 1 purple, 6 pink) to the center of the 23" stem (see Tiara diagram). Gently bend the stems to create a u-shape. To create a second tier, take another 12" stem and thread it through the middle of the centered purple bead on the base. Make sure that the new stem is centered. On the second tier, take one side of the new stem and add 3 clear beads, 1 purple bead and 3 more clear beads. Then slide the end of the stem through one of the purple pony beads on the base. Continue to add beads to the final piece of the stem and then slide the end under the final purple bead on the base. Repeat the process for the other side. To attach the second tier of tiara points to the main headband and secure all the beads, twist the ends around the base. To create a third tier, slide 9 beads (4 clear, 1 purple, 4 clear) to the center of another 12" stem. Bend the stem gently and push each end through one of the purple beads on second tier of the tiara. Next add 7 beads (3 clear, 1 purple, 3 clear) to each remaining end of the third tier and then push ends through the remaining purple beads on the second tier. Twist the ends of the third tier to the second tier to secure and trim ends. Using the hot glue gun, decorate the tiara with various candies and chocolates from HERSHEY'S.

Costume Assembly: Have your candy princess put on the pink leotard, tights, and shoes. Wrap the skirt around waist, put on the tiara. Add a little blush to cheeks and body glitter to neck and arms for a little extra glimmer. With the wand in hand your candy princess will be ready for trick or treating! Total Time: 3 - 4 hours Note: Candy used in costumes should not be eaten.
