  • 24 JOLLY RANCHER Chews or JOLLY RANCHER Crunch & Chew Candies* in Watermelor OR Blue Raspberry
  • 1 package regular white cake mix or favorite white cake recipe (about 18 oz.)
  • 24 sugar cones
  • JOLLY RANCHER Original Hard Candies in desired colors
  • 3 cups desired frosting
  • 24 paper cone wraps (optional)

Directions

  • 1. Remove wrappers from desired color candies. Cover and set aside. Cover tops of several angel food or springform pans with two layers of heavy duty foil, extending foil several inches down the side of pan. Make small holes in foil with tip of knife about 2 to 2-1/2 inches apart. Push pointed end of sugar cone into hole so that cone will stand upright.
  •
  • 2. Prepare cake batter following package or recipe directions. Heat oven to required temperature.
  •
  • 3. Place 1 teaspoon batter in bottom of each sugar cone. Add one candy piece to each cone. Fill each cone with batter until it is about 1/2 inch from top of cone.
  •
  • 4. Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool completely in pan on wire rack.
  •
  • 5. Remove wrappers from 6 hard candies. Chop in small food processor or place in heavy duty (freezer) food storage bag and crush with rolling pin to desired coarseness. Smaller pieces will soften into frosting. Keep in airtight container until ready to use.
  •
  • 6. Prepare desired frosting and with large tip pipe frosting onto each cone to resemble soft-serve ice cream cone. Sprinkle about 1/4 teaspoon crushed candy pieces on frosting. Wrap cones with paper cone wraps, if desired. Makes about 24 cupcake cones.
