Dice

This one is great for twins or best friends because they can be a "pair of dice."

Materials Needed:

  • 4 square foam pads, at least 3 ft. X 3 ft. (such as those used for padding chairs)
  • 1 yard of black felt
  • 1 yard of white felt
  • Cardboard
  • Glue gun and glue sticks
  • Scissors
  • Chalk
  • White outfit

Directions:

Cut the foam squares to fit comfortably on the child (suggested length should cover shoulders to hips).

Glue the foam together to make a cube with no bottom or top.

Add arm holes by cutting "X" patterns a few inches from the top.

Use a circular object or cut a circle out of cardboard to use as a template for the dots. Use the template to trace circles on the black felt with chalk.

Cut out the circles from the felt and glue them onto the exterior of your foam dice (use a real pair of dice for reference).

Cut the white felt so it fits perfectly over the top, and glue into place.

Cut a small hole for the head. Fit for comfort, but keep enough felt uncut to support the weight of the costume onto the shoulders.

Wear a white outfit underneath.
