Pirate Costumes

Materials Needed:

• Baggy white shirt or white striped "sailor" shirt
• Capri or knickers length pants (feel free to cut or role to length)
• Brown or black tie up shoes
• 1 yard of red striped material or red bandana
• Cardboard
• Aluminum foil
• Floppy hat
• Feathers
• Leather belt with a big buckle
• Tacky glue or glue gun
• Scissors
• Gold jewelry

Directions:

Pick a combination of the base outfits described above.

1. Tie a bandana around the pirate's waist or head.
2. Use cardboard to cut out sword shapes. (See pattern-1 or pattern-2)
3. Glue aluminum foil around the cardboard blade of the sword.
4. Glue feathers to the hat.
5. Adorn with gold as the "stolen treasure".
