5 yards of white or off-white lightweight cotton material
White or off-white cloths (old long johns will work) with a long-sleeved shirt
Low temperature glue gun or Tacky Glue
Scissors
Eye liner and white makeup (optional)
Directions:
If your fabrics are bright white, soak them in unsweetened tea for an hour, rinse and let dry.
Cut the fabric into 3-5 inch wide strips.
Have child put on the pants and long-sleeved shirt.
Set glue gun temperature to LOW and glue fabric to hold the ends in place. Begin wrapping at the neck line.
Apply glue in other areas as you wrap to hold bandages in place.
Splotch on watered-down greenish-yellow paint for "mold".
For the mask, use a leftover piece of fabric that is approximately the size of a bandana and cut out holes for eyes and mouth. Wrap around face and head and tie in the back.
— OR —
Use white makeup on the face. Make the face look aged by having the child wrinkle up their face and draw the lines in the wrinkles using eye liner.
