This recipe actually makes the amount of cookies it claims to make (48). I didn't have to use any extra Kisses. They are SUPER sweet so if you love chocolate and sweetness, these are definitely for you. They don't even need the chocolate drizzle, but it makes them look more complete. These are a little time-consuming to make because of unwrapping the chocolates, but totally worth the effort! Will make again!

Left out the mini chips and the chocolate drizzle because I am shipping these to a friend and didn't want too much of a mess. I used unsalted butter and added half a teaspoon of kosher salt; next time I'd use a full teaspoon. It's very good. The chocolate doesn't leak out and the cookie is a bit like shortbread, thick and tasty and rich and buttery. Without the chips it made 42 cookies. My mom also liked them and I plan to make them for my niece's class. Will definitely make again and are as good as any chocolate chip cookie, but less messy and a little more sophisticated.
