Farm Animals
You don't have to be down on a farm to have your own farm. With HERSHEY'S Syrup, and a little imagination, your child can create his or her horse, cow and pig. Make one or make all three!

Materials:

    Horse
    -------------------------    Cow
    -------------------------    Pig
    -------------------------

Directions:

Horse

-------------------------

Body

1. With a pencil, draw 2 ovals the size of the syrup bottle label on the light brown foam and cut ovals out. Glue each on top of the syrup bottle labels (front and back).

2. Set aside to dry completely.

Eyes

1. With a pencil, draw two large ovals on the white foam and cut them out.

2. Draw two small circles with a pencil on the black foam, cut them out and glue to the two large white ovals creating the horse's pupils.

3. Glue completed eyes to the front of the syrup bottle.

Nose

1. With a pencil, draw a big letter "V" - just the outline of the letter - with a pencil on the pink foam and cut it out. Turned upside down the "V" takes on the shape of a horse's nose.

2. Draw two tear drops with a pencil on the black foam and cut them out. Glue each to the pink foam nose creating the horse's nostrils.

3. Glue completed nose to the front of the syrup bottle.

Ears

1. With a pencil, draw two large tear drops on the light brown foam and cut them out.

2. Draw two smaller tear drops with a pencil on the pink foam and cut them out. Glue each to the light brown tear drops creating the inner ear of the horse.

3. With the pink tear drops facing forwards, glue completed ears to the back towards the top of the syrup bottle.

4. Set aside to dry completely.

Mane

1. Cut 4 inch pieces of yarn until there is enough to make a mane (approximately 60 pieces).

2. Place glue around the inside of the bottle opening and press 10-12 pieces of cut yarn into the opening so two ends of the yarn are adhered to the glue.

3. On the back of the bottle starting at the top, glue each piece of yarn down the middle of the bottle so each piece of yarn is touching but not overlapping. Glue should only be applied down the spine of the bottle so the yarn can drape downward creating the horse's mane (approximately 1/8 inch of glue is needed for each piece).

4. Set aside to dry completely.

Cow

-------------------------

Body

1. With a pencil, draw 2 ovals the size of the syrup bottle label on the brown foam and cut them out. Glue each on top of the syrup bottle labels (front and back).

2. Draw three or four cow spot shapes with a pencil on the white foam and cut them out. Glue each to the syrup bottle in random locations away from the covered label.

3. Set aside to dry completely.

Eyes

1. With a pencil, draw two large ovals on the white foam and cut them out.

2. Draw two small circles with a pencil on the black foam and cut them out. Glue each to the two large white ovals creating the cow's pupils.

3. Glue completed eyes to the front of the syrup bottle.

Nose

1. With a pencil, draw a big rectangle (snout shaped) with a pencil on the pink foam and cut it out.

2. Draw two small raindrops with a pencil on the black foam and cut them out. Glue each to the pink rectangle creating the cow's nostrils.

3. Glue completed nose to the front of the syrup bottle.

Ears

1. With a pencil, draw two large tear drops on the black foam and cut them out.

2. Draw two smaller tear drops with a pencil on the pink foam and cut them out. Glue them to the black tear drops creating the inner ear of the cow.

3. With the pink tear drops facing forwards, glue completed ears to the back towards the top of the syrup bottle.

4. Set aside to dry completely.

Pig

-------------------------

Body

1. With a pencil, draw 2 ovals the size of the syrup bottle label on the darker pink foam and cut ovals out. Glue each on top of the syrup bottle labels (front and back).

2. Set aside to dry completely.

Eyes

1. With a pencil, draw two large ovals on the white foam and cut them out.

2. Draw two small circles with a pencil on the black foam, cut them out and glue to the two large white ovals creating the pig's pupils.

3. Glue completed eyes to the front of the syrup bottle.

Nose

1. With a pencil, draw a big letter "B" – just the outline of the letter - with a pencil on the pink foam and cut it out. Turned sideways the "B" takes on the shape of a pig's snout.

2. Draw two small circles with a pencil on the lighter pink foam and cut them out. Glue each to the darker pink foam snout creating the pig's nostrils.

3. Glue completed nose to the front of the syrup bottle.

Ears

1. With a pencil, draw two large tear drops on the darker pink foam and cut them out.

2. Draw two smaller raindrops with a pencil on the lighter pink foam and cut them out. Glue them to the darker pink tear drops creating the inner ear of the pig.

3. With the lighter pink tear drops facing forwards, glue completed ears to the back towards the top of the syrup bottle.

4. Set aside to dry completely.

Tail

1. Twist the pipe cleaner around your finger to make a curly-cue which will become the pig's tail. Glue the tail to the back of the bottle at the bottom.

2. Set aside to dry completely.
