Peanut Butter, Peanuts or Peanut Products from
Peanut Corporation of America
All Hershey and Reese's candies are safe to consume

HERSHEY, PA., January 29, 2009 - The Hershey Company (NYSE: HSY) today reaffirmed its previous statement related to peanuts:

No products made by The Hershey Company, including items and brands in the iconic Reese's franchise, are affected by the recall of items produced by the Peanut Corporation of America. Hershey does not purchase any peanut butter, peanuts or peanut products from the Peanut Corporation of America. Peanut butter for Reese's Peanut Butter Cups is made in Hershey facilities under the most stringent safety and quality standards.

All of our products with peanuts or peanut butter are safe to consume, including Hershey's, Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, Reese's Big Cup, Reese's Fast Break, Reese's Crispy Crunchy, Reese's Whipps, Reese's Sticks, Reese's Clusters, Reese's Pieces, Nutrageous, Hershey's Kisses with Peanut Butter, Hershey's Miniatures, Mr. Goodbar, Payday, Take 5 and 5th Avenue. This includes all seasonal treats and items sold to other food companies and used as ingredients in other products.
