It's a little over three weeks until the 2009 Hershey's Tour de Pink. There is a lot of emotion leading up to this and strangely, I forgot one of the key things in my life this year. Heidi - who I love dearly - emailed me and said "hey, hasn't it been 5 years since your recurrence?"
Wow. How could I forget? But I guess it’s not a bad thing that it’s not foremost in my mind. To be honest, I guess in the back of my mind I remembered Thursday when I was in NYC at Fashion's Night Out. I bought a new winter coat (60% off of course) and I told Kathleen and Marcia that I shop like I will die tomorrow. Then I will actually live to be old and poor and move in with my friends. Oh yeah and it has been 5 years since my recurrence.
In our own way each of us survives and remembers. Who knew 2009 Hershey's Tour de Pink was going to be so special.
