SBO Scholarship Essay Contest
In a competition managed and promoted by Scholastic Band & Orchestra magazine (SBO), students compete for more than $20,000 in prizes for themselves and their music program by submitting a 250-word essay on a selected music-related topic. This well supported contest receives more than 12,000 entries annually.
SBO 50 Directors Who Make a Difference
HERSHEY'S joins SBO in honoring the leaders of scholastic music programs who dedicate their time and talents to developing excellence in student musicians across the nation. A director from each state is selected by SBO to be featured in its December issue.
