REESE'S Sunflower

Materials:

  • 1 REESE'S Peanut Butter Cup
  • 1 package REESE'S PIECES Candy
  • 2 yards of 1 1/2" wide wired yellow ribbon
  • 1-12" length of heavy duty floral wire
  • Green floral tape
  • Green silk leaves
  • Low temperature hot glue gun

Directions:
To form the petals, cut 9-4" lengths of wired ribbon. Twist the wires at the end of each length and turn twisted ends under ½" to form rounded edge of each petal.

Using the cardboard insert in the peanut butter cup package, cut a circle the same size as the peanut butter cup.

To form the sunflower, arrange the 9 ribbon petals in a circular pattern on the cardboard. Pinching the other end of each petal, glue to the center of the cardboard circle.

To form the stem, wrap the floral wire with the green floral tape, using a twisting motion. Insert the leaves as you wrap the stem. Glue the top end of the wire stem to the center of the cardboard disc on top of the petals.

Glue an unwrapped peanut butter cup (still in the paper cup) to the center of the petals and complete by securing brown coated REESE'S PIECES Candy to the peanut butter cup center, using confectioners' glue.

Create a cheerful bouquet centerpiece by laying several sunflowers in a basket.

Completed craft is for decorative purposes only. Candy used in craft should not be eaten.
